Application Process

With our 100% online application applying for easi-own or easi-cash has never been easier. All you need to complete an application is:

- A valid NZ Drivers Licence or NZ Passport

- Online banking access

- A valid email address

- A valid mobile phone number

If you do not have any of the above, simply go into your local dtr store and they’ll help you through the application in person.

For easi-own, easi-cash and easi-pay, your application helps us assess your affordability, to work out what your total credit limit will be. At dtr we will not let you get in over your head.

Yes, you can and good on you!

If you’dd like to pay off your easi-own, easi-cash or easi-pay contract early, just contact your local dtr store. You can pay off as much as you like, whenever you like. There is no early repayment fee.

General

easi-own:  With easi-own you can purchase goods for your home on affordable repayments over a term of up to 60 months. For more information or to apply, click here.

easi-pay: With easi-pay you can purchase goods for your home and pay them off on 12 equal weekly repayments. For more information or to apply, click here.

easi-cash: For personal loans from $500 to $25,000. For more information or to apply, click here.

Please contact your local dtr team or phone 0800 734 735 as soon as you have any issues with items you have purchased. If the items are faulty, we will work with you to get them repaired / replaced.

The price of Service Plus is shown in your contract note or on your easi-own quote, the price does vary dependent on the product your have purchased.

Security is a financial asset that you own that has monetary value and can be traded. This can be a car or household chattels.

PPSR is the Personal Properties Security Register. When you have a loan using personal items as security or if you purchase on easi-own these items get listed on a government site called the Personal Properties Securities Register.

The information registered will also include a description of the property or gear you have used to secure your loan or purchased by easi-own.

DLW is a product that waives all your uncharged payments on a secured loan or easi-own purchase if your gear that you used as security or purchased is destroyed, damaged or lost through fire, flood, theft or burglary.

It does not cover intentional or accidental damage.

The price of DLW will be shown on your contract note, it varies depending on the item purchased/secured.

Interest rates, fees, hardship

With easi-own & easi-cash our interest rates start at 9.95% p.a. through to 29.95% p.a. variable, depending on your credit circumstances.

easi-pay is interest free for 12 weeks, providing you meet your payment obligations during that time.

If you know you are going to miss a payment, contact your store or phone 0800 734 735 as soon as you can. Our friendly staff can help arrange a solution.

The worst thing you can do is ignore your account if it becomes overdue. You’ll only end up with unnecessary fees, see here for full fee’s table

Treating people fairly is important to us at dtr. So, if something has changed in your life and you’re having difficulty keeping up with your loan repayments, please talk to us as soon as possible. We’re always here to help, and there are lots of options available to help you through tough times, including:

- Lowering your regular payment commitments

- Giving you a payment holiday

- Voluntary return of the goods (if you have Service Plus)

- Or, a combination of the above

You also have the option of making a hardship claim. Just call us on 0800 734 735, or email hardship@dtr.co.nz, if you would like to talk to us about a hardship claim

We know sometimes things do not go according to plan. So, if you need to talk to someone about an issue you are having with us. Please contact your local Branch Manager first on 0800 734 735, or email info@dtr.co.nz . They are there to help you.

If it’s a problem they’re unable to assist with, or you’re not happy with the outcome, you can phone dtr Support Office on 09 250 3350 or email complaints@dtr.co.nz.  We will confirm receipt of your complaint and investigate it for you.
